GRIÑÓ ECOLOGIC is a group of companies engaged in integrated waste management and its transformation into clean energy, based in Lleida and presence, mainly in Catalonia, Valencia and Aragon. Griñó group comes from a family business founded by Mr. Josep Solé Griñó in 1933, initially dedicated to freight. In 1970 Mr. Francisco Griñó Batlle started the activity of Services of Waste Collection and Transport and he is the one who initiated the strategic direction to the Environmental Services business.
Griñó Ecologic provides a complete coverage in the management and treatment of waste, environmentally friendly and turns waste into green energy. Griñó Ecologic is dedicated to transforming waste into alternative fuels (CSR) and energy recovery, and transformation of organic materials for obtaining fuel DieselR.
The firm has positioned itself as one of the companies with the greatest national and international projection when talking about management and complete treatment of waste and subsequent energy recovery. The environmental management business has high growth potential, with a tendency to zero waste going to landfill. Currently the waste sent to landfill in Spain is mostly recoverable resources with multiple applications. Ecologic Griñó is leader in Spain in the transformation of waste into CSR (Solid Recovered Fuel) for further energy recovery.
The company, which operates in Catalonia, Aragon and Valencia, is in the beginning of its international expansion through the construction of two urban waste treatment and transformation plants in Argentina.
